my mom jokes, “annie was my babysitter” but the truth was my sister & i were obsessed.
i look back fondly at those times spent in the living room with my older sister singing & dancing, hating miss hannigan & wanting a cute dog just like sandy to follow me around town.
last night i got to go on a double mom date with my mom, julie & her mom.
i got so nostalgic hearing all of my favorite showtunes, “it’s a hard knock life” & of course, “tomorrow, tomorrow”. the actors are incredible & the actress who plays annie, issie swickle, hails from davie, fl!
i have to say the one character that stole the show for me was sandy. the dog actors who play sandy were both adopted from animal shelters. i, not so secretly, wish that sandy was in more scenes. ;)
the stage setups also blew me away. i am always in awe how they are able to transition from scene to scene so effortlessly. the scene with the nyc backdrop made me feel some wanderlust. i think i’ll be looking up flights to jet set there soon. ha! i <3 ny.
the show is seriously great for all ages. i shared on my social media that tonight’s show has a special discount 50% off for kids under 12 with the purchase of an adult ticket. there are great activities planned for before & after the show to go along with the broadway family night. any time you see this show is a good time. kids were laughing out loud & dancing to their favorite tunes!
