eating house – miami, fl

on saturday night, i had hands down one of the best meals in a long time! we went on a road trip to miami this weekend to visit with family & celebrate my little cousin’s birthday. i felt like i hit the jackpot when i found out my cousins who now live in dc, nyc & san fran were going to be in town. for dinner, my sister & i met up with my cousins, patty & caro & caro’s boyfriend, raul. of course i want to give a major thanks to them for bringing me here but also a special thank you goes to raul since he introduced me to my new favorite beer, harpoon ufo.

love you guys!

eating house used to be a pop up restaurant, sharing the same space as a coffee shop. thank god it’s now permanent because i’m making it a must stop every time i come back into town. the james beard nominated chef/owner, giorgio rapicavoli, seems like he would be so fun to hang out with! after you have tried these dishes, you will want to get to know the mind behind them.

here are some more photos of the dishes. missing are: soft cooked egg (incredible), yellowtail crudo & oyster mushrooms, all just as amazing.

every bite was better than the next.

we couldn’t pick a favorite so i had to ask the question in the car, “if you were forced at gunpoint to choose one dish to eat for the rest of your life, which one would it be?” and we settled on the pasta carbonara but seriously, that was the most difficult decision we made that night.

have you ever had a meal like this? share with me where!
